one- the hunger games
wow. i've been hearing about it for a few months, but i thought i had to do with weight loss. i finally read it (and "catching fire") in two days, and i am completely hooked. i feel like a ten-year-old with harry potter again. READ IT
two- peter pan
i've always loved the story, but only knew it from the animated disney and Hook. the book was a lot darker than i'd expected, but full of wisdom. turns out neverland isn't actually that great.
three- les miserables
always has been, always will be my favorite book. victor hugo just gets it.
four- of mice and men
loved east of eden and felt guilty for not having read this. it was interesting, but i don't think having steinbeck's name on it warranted me needing to read it.
five- jane eyre
nice writing, good character development... but i'm not a big fan, sorry. mr. rochester? really?
six- vagabonding
love. full of inspiration and ways to travel and not be an annoying "tourist" who never gets off the beaten path or an annoying "traveler" who never gets on it.
to be continued...
