different cultures have different ideas about personal space.
every day in ballet i go to my (self-assigned) space at the barre - a sweet spot in the corner of two mirrors, allowing me to better see and correct myself
and then one of two girls will inevitably come to the barre that meets mine in the corner,
and stand way too close. when the combination requires us to move away from the barre, do a grande rond de jambe or a battement in seconde, there is always a clash. is it because one of them is from canada?
i was there first, barre space invader!

i second this! I am a witness to it each and everyday! And what was up with that girl ( same one) jacking katies spot for the mid-term??? no decency!

haha it has nothing to do with canada! we have really strict ballet there. it must be the girl!
