when i was about five, one included watching julia child. all the time. i have never cooked anything more ambitious than gluten-free brownies, and those from a mix.
i'd also read "my life in france" (julia child's autobiography). i was amazed by meryl streep's portrayal. it was perfect. my mom remarked to me during the movie that she had just remembered it was actually meryl streep and not julia child.
and amy adams, as always, is just beautiful.
so, go see it. see if you can resist buying "mastering the art of french cooking" the very same night.
