i learned my lesson

the other day i was riding my bicycle (now sufficiently rusted to qualify as a true hawaiian mode of transportation) and talking to my mom on my cell phone.
she had just finished admonishing me to not talk on the phone when i was riding my bike, when i heard a car behind me as i got up to the roundabout. so, i pulled over to let the car go first. unfortunately, i didn't quite stop.
i ran into a parked car.
i hit my head and thought i broke my glasses.
there was a guy in the yard weedeating, and i got up from my car-raping position and yelled "sorry!"
meanwhile, my mom was still chattin away.
i finished riding home, still talking of course, and as soon as i reached the driveway, i fell off.
i was really hoping for a black eye, but no dice.

i kind of wish i had a bicycle like this
